Call for Nominations: 2013-2014 Board of Directors

Each year, SMPS Seattle issues a Call for Nominations to our membership for open Board of Directors positions. This year’s open positions are:

• President-Elect
• Secretary
• Senior Advisor
• Director of Education
• Director of Membership
• Director of Special Events
• Director of Marketing

Nominations may be made by individual members (self-nominations) or by petition. Position descriptions and eligibility information can be found in the Call for Nominations Packet.
A slate of candidates will be sent to members by June 5, 2013. If no petitioned nominations are received within ten (10) days of notice, the slate shall be declared elected and will be introduced at the Annual Kick-Off Meeting in August.

We encourage all members to become a candidate, to help lead our great chapter into the future.
To nominate a member or become a candidate yourself:

• Complete the Candidate Questionnaire and submit by email to Kenda Salisbury. 
• Nomination forms and questionnaires must be received no later than May 24, 2013.

Message From The President

Welcome to the SMPS Seattle 2012/13 program year as we celebrate our chapter’s 30th anniversary. This year is all about connecting! The theme for this year is Connecting the Dots, which relates to connecting our members with the tools and opportunities needed to grow as marketers and business development professionals.
This year, SMPS Seattle is working to:

• Connect members with education opportunities to enhance professional development. Take a look at some of our exciting upcoming events.
• Connect you with the wide range of resources available through the chapter and SMPS national. 
• Further connect you with the chapter through committee involvement.
• Help you increase your professional network by connecting you with other members. 

Connecting the dots will help members become better marketers and business development professionals, help firms win more work, and help the Seattle chapter continue to thrive for another 30+ years.
