    Join us at the January 24th Breakfast Program as we hear from experts in the field of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) as they relate to our industry. Speakers will present on how they are using VR, its value in our industry, and what the VR future holds. This could be the next paradigm shift in our industry – are you ready?

    Boaz Ashkenazy

    Boaz Ashkenazy, Founding Partner, Studio 216

    Boaz Ashkenazy is Co-founder of Studio 216, an immersive technology agency specializing in virtual and mixed reality production studio focused on real estate and architecture.  Boaz lead the development team that launched one of the first virtual reality residential sales centers in the United States. Studio 216, in partnership with Skanska USA, also developed the first holographic leasing center in the world using Microsoft HoloLens, which recently opened in downtown Seattle.  Studio 216 was one of eight agencies selected to participate in the Microsoft HoloLens Agency Readiness program which provided participants with early access to HoloLens technology.  Studio 216 was founded in 2005 and has offices in Seattle, San Francisco and Shanghai.

    Heather Skeehan

    Heather Skeehan, Design Manager at GLY

    Heather, a registered architect, is a Design Manager at GLY who facilitates a more seamless relationship between the worlds of design and construction. She leverages technology as a truly interactive platform to confirm examinations, reflect decisions made by the entire design team, suggest more effective ways to execute building in the field, minimize waste, and efficiently schedule and communicate project development. She is a strong advocate for fundamental project values and design identity, and brings a fresh perspective to the way GLY supports delivery of the design intent. Current projects include Bellevue’s Lincoln Square Expansion and significant associated TIs. Prior to joining GLY in 2014, Heather spent seven years at ZGF. She is an alumnus of Tulane University, with a MA in Architecture, and holds a Construction Management Certificate from UW.

    Cody Lodi

    Cody Lodi, LEED AP, Architect, Design Leader and Project Manager, VR, Weber Thompson

    Cody is an Architect with ten years of experience envisioning, managing and executing projects ranging from Living Building commercial offices to single family residences, with a focus on mixed use and multifamily residential work of all scales. He is passionate about exploring new and emerging technologies and believes that VR and AR could fundamentally alter and improve the way architects communicate spatial experience, leading to happier clients and a higher quality built environment. In 2016, he led a team of Weber Thompson colleagues to design a virtual reality experience for the Seattle Design Festival Block Party. The project imagined how climate change, density and economic forces might play out in our city over the coming years.  Cody leads the effort to adopt and implement new tools and cutting-edge technology within Weber Thompson.
