Work is booming in the Puget Sound region. With its abundant agency contracts, RFPs flowing on tap, and cranes decorating the skyline, it is easy to get lulled into a sense that these times of great bounty are the new normal. But as in nature, the cyclical tide of the economy will recede. Preparing for market downturns and recession before they arrive will determine the firms that hold steady during “low tide” and those that will find themselves looking for ways to cut overhead—cuts that often affect marketing and administration first.

    7:30 – 8:00 a.m. | Registration + Breakfast
    8:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. | Presentation

    • Indicators and historic trends that tell us when we can expect our next market downturn

    • Ways to bolster your marketing and business development strategies now to prepare for market uncertainties.

    EcoNorthwest

ECONorthwest is an economics, finance, and planning firm located in the Pacific Northwest—a regional firm with a national reach. Everything in life is a scarce resource—except humans. ECONorthwest studies policies developed to manage the scarce resources a community uses to survive and thrive—whether that be land, housing, tax dollars, water, or our transportation networks). We dig into the data to determine what’s working and what isn’t. It’s about so much more than math—though we do that, too.
