The Fellows Forums: 10th Anniversary Season

How time flies—the SMPS Seattle Chapter Fellows Forums is celebrating its 10th Season / Anniversary!

This program started here in Seattle in 2010 while Carla Thompson FSMPS was the Senior Advisor on the Seattle Board of Directors. She saw it as a way for the Fellows to give back to our members—and they have! We are proud to say our Fellows Forum program won 1st Place in the National SMPS Striving for Excellence Awards in 2011.

Since then we have hosted 36 Fellows Forums in these last nine years and covered every topic imaginable—and they have addressed all 6 of the Domains of Practice for CPSMs gaining their CEUs or those studying for the CPSM exam. Plus, the Seattle Fellows established the first Fellows Scholarship in the country and to-date we have sent 9 Seattle Chapter members to the SMPS Build Business Conference.

The six Fellows in our chapter— Karleen Belmont, Ted Sive, Vicky Cooper, Bill Strong, Carla Thompson and a brand-new Fellow in 2019, Kenda Salisbury—have thoroughly enjoyed these fun and enlightening events with their hallmark candid discussions and free-flowing interaction with the audience.

To celebrate our 10th Anniversary—the Fellows are putting their greatest memories into this BLOG. Look for their entries over the next 6 months and be prepared to ‘relive some memories’ of Fellows Forum Follies’.

The Fellows Forum programs have been an outstanding addition to our SMPS Seattle programming over the past 10 years. A heartfelt THANK YOU to each of the Fellows for their continued dedication to support our local AEC marketers, business developers and technical staff!
