Thank You For An Amazing Year!

by Amy Matsumoto, 2015-2016 SMPS Seattle President

What a year it has been!  Whether you read my rambling blogs, sat next to me at a breakfast, got a nametag from me or served on the board with me: thank you all for joining me in my Seattle BeSMPS Presidential journey.

When I was first asked if I was interested in taking on the presidential track for SMPS Seattle, I was a little intimidated. I hadn’t been on the board for a few years, I wasn’t sure I’d know what to do, I didn’t know what I didn’t know. I went home and thought about it over the weekend. Clearly, we know what happened. I’m glad I decided to go for it.  It seemed like a new challenge, but with the preparation, resources, training and help I received, the challenge turned into an accomplishment.

Thank you for reading, even though none of my blogs provided any marketing tips or had anything to do with marketing. (I’m so glad I was able to get away with that this whole year). I do hope you feel you have gotten to know me a little better.

This upcoming year as immediate Past-President, I’ll be serving on the Pacific Regional Conference Planning Committee (specifically registration) and helping out with nominations for the 2017-2018 board along and with other projects as needed.

It’s now time to turn the monthly blog postings over to Amanda Erickson, the 2016-2017 SMPS Seattle Chapter President.  You are in for some great reading in the upcoming year.
