SMPS Seattle/United Way Oso Mudslide Fundraiser

Calling all SMPS Seattle members, member-firms, colleagues, and friends to help our Snohomish County neighbors

On a peaceful Saturday morning, March 22nd, the SMPS Seattle Chapter region was hit with an unthinkable tragedy. The Oso Mudslide struck without warning sending a mountain ripping through a community and burying everything and everyone in its path in an ocean of mud and debris. The devastating loss of life and property has catapulted this five-minute geological event into one of the worst landslides in the nation's history.

In our year of Sharing, Building and Celebrating, SMPS Seattle wants to help and we are asking you to be a part of something bigger than yourselves and share generously with our neighbors.

We have partnered with United Way of Snohomish County which has established the Disaster Recovery Fund in response to the Oso Mudslide.

100% of the funds raised will be directed to help the families, communities and community service organizations affected by this event.

SMPS Seattle will match all donations dollar for dollar up to a total SMPS Seattle donation of $800.00 for those who donate by April 14, 2014.

If you would like to help, just click here.

Please be sure to indicate your affiliation with SMPS Seattle in the "Company you work for" box so that they can report the results of your generosity and determine our matching contribution.

You can read more about the fund here.

Thank you for sharing the gift of hope - and for being a true example of what it means to LIVE UNITED.
