SMPS Seattle Volunteer Day | Westcrest Park Revitalization with DIRT Corps

August 25, 2018
9:45 AM - 2:00 PM

Westcrest Park
9000 8th Ave SW
Seattle, WA 98106

Join the SMPS Seattle as we work with DIRT Corps in revitalizing Westcrest Park.

We will be working on the parcel of land next to 8th Avenue, in Seattle, on August 25th starting at 10:00am. Meet at 9:45 to receive snacks and water!

Combine knowledge with action as we work to clear this beautiful space of Himalayan blackberries which are overgrown into the Park. The beginning of this volunteer event will include a brief education on identifying what growth should stay or go and then volunteers will have the chance to work together to gradually transform and help make it a great public space for everyone to enjoy.

Following the event, volunteers can celebrate their hard work with a happy hour at Brass Tacks (6031 Airport Way S) in Georgetown (no-host bites/drink).

For more information about DIRT Corps and the volunteer event, click here, but please sign up through the SMPS Seattle event page to be included in our volunteer group. No additional sign up is need at this time.
