    You’re invited to apply!

    SMPS Seattle Chapter

Attending the SMPS Build Business national conference has been a valuable experience which has contributed to the long-term success of the Seattle Chapter’s five SMPS Fellows: Carla Thompson, Bill Strong, Karleen Belmont, Ted Sive, and Vicky Cooper. They are eager to share that experience with TWO of our Seattle Chapter members by offering the 7th annual Seattle Fellows Scholarship—a paid registration to Build Business 2017 being held in Indianapolis, July 12-14, 2017. The scholarship will cover registration fees and hotel costs at the J.W. Marriott up to $1500—and because they didn’t award one in 2016, there are two scholarships up for grabs this year!

To qualify for the scholarship, candidates must meet the following conditions:

    • Attendance at a minimum of two SMPS Seattle Fellows Forums in the past 7 years
    • SMPS Member or an employee of an SMPS Seattle Member firm
    • Previous Fellows Scholarship recipients are not eligible for 5 years

    About the scholarship process:

Section 1 of the application will ask you about your SMPS involvement, your current role and past experience, why you are applying for the scholarship (what it means to you personally and professionally), and how it will benefit your employer.

Section 2 contains your contact information and asks you to confirm that your employer (or you) will pay your travel-related expenses to attend Build Business 2017 in Indianapolis. Section 2 must be submitted in a sealed, plain envelope, and both sections must be packaged together so no company logos show to maintain complete anonymity during the judging process.

A hard copy of your submittal will be due on Friday, April 21. Applicants will be notified before the Fellows Forum on May 4th and the winner will be formally introduced at the Event.
