Blog Squad

Hone your writing skills, learn about exciting industry developments, and earn recognition for your company! Led by Emmy Kane, Blog Chair for the Seattle Chapter, the Blog Squad is a low-commitment volunteer opportunity (no meetings required) to write and develop content for the Seattle Chapter Blog. Blog Squad members sign up for blog topics that interest them and are assigned a deadline for preparing the article. CPSMs may earn CEUs for their published articles. If you enjoy writing and/or researching then the Blog Squad is for you! Email Blog Chair Emmy Kane if you are interested. To participate in the Blog Squad you must be an SMPS member. We are always seeking volunteers to champion other initiatives within our strategic plan. These roles include:

General Volunteers: Interested in helping but not sure how or aren't able to commit to a long-term position? We are always in need of people who are interested in helping with specific events or tasks. Email President Erin Hatch if you have some helping hands to offer!

Industry Outreach Liaison: SMPS Seattle is actively engaging with our related industry associations in various ways. Email President-Elect Heidi Maki if you're interested in learning more.

Mentor/Mentee: We are trying to begin a more formal mentorship program than we have had in the past and are looking for people interested in participating on both ends of the equation. Email President Erin Hatch if you're interested in learning more.

Ambassador Program: Our ambassadors are paired with a new member to teach them the SMPS ropes. This position is only open to those who have been an SMPS member for three or more years. If you're interested, please email Director of Membership Craig Tyler.
