Volunteer
Get Involved. Get Connected. Volunteer with SMPS Seattle.
SMPS Seattle is an all‑volunteer–run chapter of the national Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS). Our programs, events, and community thrive because passionate professionals step up to help—and we’d love for you to be one of them.
Whether you want to lead, learn, or lend a hand, there’s a volunteer opportunity for you. In addition to serving on the board or participating on committees, SMPS offers a number of other ways you can contribute your valuable services!
Big Impact. Small Time Commitment.
Most volunteer roles require as little as 2 hours per month, with flexibility based on your interests and availability. You can jump in for a short‑term task or dig deeper into a committee role—it’s entirely up to you.
All committees are currently looking for volunteers, and we’ll help match you with a role that fits your:
- Time availability
- Skills and talents
- Interests or stretch goals
Why Volunteer With SMPS Seattle?
Volunteering is one of the fastest ways to get more out of your SMPS membership. You’ll gain:

- Hands‑on exposure to the A/E/C industry
- Meaningful connections with peers and industry leaders
- A chance to shape programs that support our local community
And yes—we truly treasure our volunteers.
Recognition, Celebration & a Little Fun
SMPS Seattle makes a point to celebrate the people who make it all happen.
- Annual Volunteer Thank You Party each summer—timed perfectly for peak PNW weather
- Past events include a pirate ship cruise on Lake Union and a private party at Flatstick Pub
- Volunteer recognition at the annual Reign Awards
- Ongoing shout‑outs and opportunities to be recognized throughout the year
