STUDENT MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION
When you return the student membership application to [email protected], you are applying for SMPS student membership and our chapter’s student member scholarship, which includes membership dues and a stipend for continuing education opportunities with SMPS Seattle. See additional membership benefits below.
Student Membership Benefits
- Free Attendance to Select Chapter Events. Registration fees for select SMPS Seattle programs are waived for student members, including virtual, networking, and Catalyst Conversation events. Simply select the student membership registration when registering for an event, and you’ll be all set!
- Custom Welcome Wagon. You’re now a member! Great, now what? Join us for a Welcome Wagon, a personalized welcome to give you all the information and tools to navigate the chapter, specifically curated to help students identify what they can get out of their membership and how to get started.
- Professional Assessment. Each student member is eligible for a professional assessment of their LinkedIn profile, resume, and interview skills. This process provides students with feedback and suggestions to build confidence and help polish their presentation as a job candidate. Professional assessments can be scheduled by emailing Ashley Di Cristina, our Professional Development Chair.
- Scholarship Opportunities. Student members qualify to apply for the SMPS Membership Scholarship, which will cover the cost of one year’s membership. Student members are also eligible to apply for the Continuing Education Scholarship, which offers $600 to continue your professional marketing education. Learn more about scholarships.
