Mentorship Program


    Multiply is a year-long mentorship program to support growth and development of both the mentor and mentee. Through this program, mentee applicants will be matched with a mentor and encouraged to engage in monthly meetings to establish career track goals, work through current challenges, and be inspired to grow in their profession!

    Mentees will have the opportunity to glean knowledge of the industry, understand the inner workings of marketing and business development tracks, and to reach higher personal strategic goals and development. Mentors will have the opportunity to practice their management and leadership skills as well as share their knowledge of the A/E/C industry.

    All prospective Mentors and Mentees must have completed an application form in January, submitted along with a current resume including work history, educational background, special skills and interests, and any other relevant biographical information. The information assists the committee to match Mentor / Mentee pairs based upon experience, interest, and career tracks. In February, attend the Multiply kickoff event to meet other program participants. Mentor / Mentee pairing will occur following the Multiply kickoff event.

    At the end of the year, the continuation of the pairing will be up to the individuals and not guided by SMPS. Mentors and mentees can sign up for another pairing each year if they wish. Applications are now available to participate in this exciting new program!


    Mentees: Marketing professionals who are currently in positions at firms in the A/E/C industry; have a minimum of two years’ professional experience; and who are current SMPS members.

    • Mentees want to grow personally and develop professionally.

    • Mentees want to become courageous leaders in their firms.

    • Mentees want to take charge in managing their career paths.

    • Mentees are ready for the next challenge in their life’s work.

    Mentors: Senior-level marketing or business development professionals with a minimum of eight years’ experience at A/E/C industry firms, and who are current SMPS members.

    • Mentors are eager to share their experiences and wisdom.

    • Mentors listen well and are great cheerleaders.

    • Mentors can positively influence and foster another’s growth.
