CPSM Certification

The CPSM certification program enhances the professional standing of A/E/C marketers and business developers with their employers, their peers, and the public. It increases confidence and knowledge in strategic marketing and business development practices, leading to professional success for the Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) and his or her company.

Being a CPSM means that you have met a rigorous standard of experience and expertise in marketing professional services. For some, that equates to career advancement or increased compensation and benefits. For everyone, this personal investment enhances your opportunity for professional success.

Scholarships

SMPS Seattle offers full CPSM Certification Reimbursements ($520) to Members who pass the exam. Funds are available on a limited annual basis. To learn more, please contact Ashley Di Cristina, Director at Large: Professional Development.

Materials

MARKENDIUM, also known as the SMPS Body of Knowledge, is the comprehensive educational resource for the successful practice of marketing and business development in the A/E/C industries. The MARKENDIUM also further defines the six Domains of Practice for the Society and professional services marketing. MARKENDIUM: The Essentials (six books in print format) contains case studies, theory-into-practice tips, reflections, and a glossary of key terms. Copies are available for loan by contacting Jeremy Richard, CPSM or Janine Messina, CPSM, CPSM Co-Chairs, or for purchase on Amazon.

MARKENDIUM LABS are six 25-minute, self-paced, interactive online courses focused on each of the six Domains of Practice. Watching all six labs provides 2.5 CEUs.
