Salary Survey

SMPS Seattle & Oregon Salary Survey

We recently experienced a phenomenon in the AEC marketing world—a pandemic that pushed us into isolation also brought our community of marketing professionals closer together. SMPS chapters across the country eagerly began sharing resources, channeling inclusive messaging via LinkedIn, and removing barriers to education. It is with the same sense of unity that the SMPS Oregon and Seattle chapters have joined together to launch this year’s salary survey.

The last two years have taught us that our shared experiences and collective wisdom make all of us stronger. Nowhere is that truer than in the SMPS salary survey. Why? For so many reasons. By sharing your personal financial experience, you:

  • Inform the collective understanding of how compensation is trending in our industry.
  • Contribute to the ever-growing list of innovative benefits that companies are offering as they compete in a tight labor market.
  • Unlock critical information for your fellow marketers who find themselves in intimidating salary and promotion negotiations.

The data that comes from the salary survey plays a critical role in making the case for well-deserved raises, title changes, and—in some profound cases—stepping away from a company that doesn’t value you in the ways you know you deserve (and can find elsewhere).

SMPS Marketing Compensation & Metrics Survey (HQ)

SMPS Seattle is supporting the efforts of the Society Headquarters by asking our members and non-members to participate in the SMPS Marketing Compensation and Metrics Survey. This is a live document that is updated continuously. Reports from this survey may be pulled specific to the Pacific Northwest, AND it may be used to find compensation information for areas throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Members and non-members are encouraged to fill it out. Upon completion of at least 40% of the survey members gain FREE access to reports; non-members may access the reports for a fee. Please take a few minutes to log into the survey and help the Society build a great resource!
